Founded in Fort Portal City in 2016, FC Tooro Queens is a women’s football club with a clear purpose: develop female football talent and grow the women’s game in the Tooro region and across Uganda. To our supporters, we are the Country Queens.
Our journey began in the District League in 2016. We moved through the Regional League in 2017 and the Elite League in 2018, before earning promotion to the FUFA Women’s Super League in 2019. The club competed in the Super League between 2019 and 2024.
Today, the Queens compete in the FUFA Women’s Elite League. Our ambition is to return to the top tier while continuing to create opportunities for young women through football.
This is a club rooted in its community: players, families, schools and supporters, all helping to write the next chapter.
